The first month's rent payment is crucial to the Renters Terms acceptance process, which must be completed within 24 hours of the host's acceptance of the booking request. Once the payment is credited, the Renters Terms become valid, and your Urban Shared Space space is prepaid for one month.
Due Date of the First Rent:
The first month's rent is due within 24 hours of the booking request being accepted, marking the conclusion of the Renters Terms acceptance process.
Second and Subsequent Rents:
For stays longer than 1 month, subsequent rents are due according to the duration of the stay. Urbansharedspace.homes sends regular reminders about upcoming rent due dates or overdue payments via email notifications to help you manage these payments effectively.
On-Time Payment:
To avoid issues with your accommodation, it is crucial to heed these email notifications and pay your rent on time using the chosen payment method. Failure to pay by the due date could result in the host terminating the Renters Terms with three days' notice.
Rent Due Dates:
The first rent pre-pays your accommodation for the initial month of your stay.
Depending on your perspective, the due date for the second month's rent is either 5 days before the end of the prepaid period or 25 days after its beginning.
Flexible Payment Methods for Rent:
To streamline the payment process and provide flexibility, Urbansharedspace.homes offers various payment methods. You are not restricted to the payment method used for the first rent.
Express Payment Options:
The fastest and most common way to pay rent and complete the Renters Terms acceptance process (especially for the first rent) is through express payment methods. Options available on Urbansharedspace.homes include:
Credit/Debit Card:
We support MasterCard, VISA, and Maestro.
Apple Pay/Google Pay:
These options are convenient if you frequently use them for contactless payments. They allow quick payments without re-entering card details.
PayPal:
We also accept PayPal Payments. We auto-generate PayPal information and give it to you to complete your deposit.
Bank Transfer:
While possible, bank transfer is not recommended for the first rent due to the delay in processing (typically 5 working days), which could impact the timely conclusion of the Renters Terms acceptance process. For subsequent rents, ensure timely transfers to avoid overdue payments.
Troubleshooting Payment Issues:
If a payment is declined or canceled, check if there is sufficient balance, and verify the daily and online transaction limits with your bank. Make sure to authorize payments with 3D Secure, through SMS codes or banking app confirmations.
If you encounter issues opening the payment gateway, using the Chrome browser often resolves these problems.
Important Notes:
Urbansharedspace.homes issues refunds to the payment method used to pay the rent. We will not issue refunds to other payment methods to prevent scams.
While not typically necessary, in exceptional cases, paying rent in cash directly to the host is possible. However, if you choose to pay in cash, you must inform the Customer Support team at Urbansharedspace.homes to ensure the payment is recorded correctly.
Please note that cash payment is NOT applicable for the first month's rent. The initial rent payment must be completed promptly, within 24 hours after the host has accepted your request. This is a crucial accepted booking to validate the Renters Terms and secure your accommodation.
With this payment and the conclusion of the Renters Terms, the host is obligated to provide you with accommodation.
Since the Renters Terms are concluded between you and the host, only the host is responsible for issuing you an invoice (and only if the accommodation is rented for profit). Urbansharedspace.homes can provide you with a digitally signed proof of payment.
